The cowardice of intervention



An excellent column from Matthew Parris who points out that Blair's position on this war is not a result of strength, but of weakness. Blair is quite pathetically incapable of seeing any role for Britain outside America's skirts. You would have thought that we were the world's fortieth, and not fourth, largest economy the way we're behaving.

He also has a couple of more gentle digs at the Tories, like the Michaels Gove and Portillo, who share Blair's imaginative blindness.
